Our story :)

OJ Bron are Tina and Tomaž Kvasnik with co-workers, who we refer

to as our Friends and more often our Teachers.

Our path towards tools made of copper alloy was full of ups and downs

- just like life. We collaborated in several different successful and

unsuccessful projects and learned a lot along the way. Mostly from

mistakes. We were uncovering secrets of herbalism, ecological and

biodynamical farming, the art of shaping, old wisdoms and skills.

That’s a long sentence, right? But so was our journey to today. While forging the first Slovenian gong Eon, we met master Marko who showed us how it functions but also the power of geometry and numbers.

The idea of a Slovenian brand of gardening tools, made from copper alloy, matured for a long time. It hung on to us day by day; while talking to seniors, who still used these kind of tools in the Bača valley in the 1970's, or when we met with Slovenian biodynamics experts We live in an old Slovenian town Radovljica, where a blacksmith had been making bronze hoes even before WWI. The Austrian innovator Viktor Schauberger, who carried the awareness of using copper gardening tools over to the

21st century, had an immense influence on our idea and us.

We finally got to work and produced our first hoe named Vesna. She was our first herald of spring, soon followed by the small garden hoe Vida. We continued to develop both tools for another two

years to make them as stable and strong as possible to withstand hard everyday work in the garden.

Because bronze tools simply last long, we offer a 12-year warranty on metal parts. Is this great or what? This demands premium and durable solutions and perfect hand making of tools which we guarantee as well. Our little family of tools has grown substantially. Today we offer 16 models and more wait to be developed and tested.

Its handles are made in a traditional way from Slovenian wood. From the very beginning, we cooperate with master Krek from the Poljane Valley near Škofja Loka who masters sustainable logging and wood processing.

We combine knowledge of farming, carpentry, toolmaking, ecology, biodynamics, geometry and acoustics and create tools. Tools that become a part of you over the years. We're often present at various events, lectures and fairs in Slovenia and abroad. We love to pass on our expertise that is coming back to our fields with bronze tools. What we love even more is to listen

to your suggestions and experiences, because we realized that without you and our beautiful homeland, our common journey would be too steep.

We are deeply thankful. Best of luck!
